If you weren't working in Radio, what would be your Dream job?
A cowgirl in the sand...
What's your favorite thing about the South Bay?
If we must drive on the freeway, we should feel pretty lucky to have one as pretty as Highway 280, especially between Los Altos and San Bruno, going by Crystal Springs Reservoir. That whole stretch is really more like a scenic corridor. It has to be one of the prettiest freeways anywhere...
What is the last thing you spent over $100 on?
Shoes...for my horse.
What's your favorite holiday?
Well, let's see...I like Thanksgiving a lot, but Christmas is pretty good, too! Oh, how about the Fourth of July! I love a good fireworks show!
Tell us a random fact about yourself:
I sometimes pick up the guitar and perform in-house concerts for my biggest fans...my three dogs. One of these rare concerts was successfully captured for this website picture. As you can see from the photo, my fans think I'm great, and Jake loves to sing along! Their enthusiasm for my concerts has nothing to do with the dog biscuits that are behind me on the chair.
What is the most embarrassing part of your music collection?
Bread, "Baby, I'm a Want You." I swear, that is not my record. I don't know how it got in there. Also, can you say cassettes?
What is your secret guaranteed weeping movie?
You're asking someone who cries during television commercials to pick just one? Well, when I watched "Along Came Polly," I laughed so hard I cried. Does that count? How about the In-Laws? Okay, three movies that really do make me weep are "Romancing the Stone," (at the end), "The Sound of Music," although I'm not really sure why, and finally, Black Beauty, which really turns me into a sobbing mess. If you love horses, good luck trying to watch that one without crying. At least it has a happy ending, which is good for a few more tears.
Do you have a completely irrational fear?
Spiders, or is it irrational? I don't think so. My only exception is a new species of trapdoor spider which is extremely rare, named the Neil Youngi spider. The scientist who discovered this spider named it after his favorite musician ~ Neil Young. I keep one of these at home as a pet.
What's one thing you wish you could do but can't?
I would love to be a pilot. I'd get a float plane, and fly to Tahoe for a water landing!
What do you cook best?
My Ghirardelli chocolate brownies are the best brownies you'll ever taste.
