Now that Christina is engaged and I will be the Mother (and Father) of the Bride a second time
I will admit every time I see the word “wedding” in a story I read it!!
This one at first stunned me, but then Sam and I talked it out and I said ”heck yeah”
It’s not about how much it costs to put on the wedding, but how much it costs to attend.
American Express is right-on with this. Almost 600 bucks to go to a wedding.
And mainly because so many couples now have Destination weddings and really a destination is anything that isn’t the home town. You’ve got transportation costs, often lodging, and of course you need a new outfit.
Oh, and throw in the pre-wedding festivities that you get invited to like showers and dinners. So there you have it…all of a sudden you’ve spent an average $600. And no, that doesn’t include the gift which costs according to this survey another $100 but $200 if it’s a relative.
So what did we say this morning? Don’t open that wedding invite unless it’s from me..LOL!!!
No, DO open that invite. Who doesn’t love attending such a happy wonderful occasion as a wedding!
