Jona's Blog February 16th and 17

This could be the start of something BIG! Enjoy some of the action from Saturday's talent show fun that I got to host. These are local kids you'd be soooo proud to know! And the group that put on the show, Starting Arts, is a really wonderful organization that shares its "arts" in the classroom at 75 area public schools! Let's look forward to a 2nd Annual Bright Lights Big Dreams competition NEXT year!

Pam Aguilar, Bryan Burkhart and 2 others like this.

Michelle Strong Champlin You did a great job being MC! Really enjoyed you and the evening!

I hate forgetting my lunch but...
The State of Mississippi forgot to ratify its 13th Ammendment banning slavery! After 149 years, they finally just fixed it thanks to the movie, "Lincoln". Can you beat that??

Larry Jay Vollman, Michelle Strong Champlin and Amy Baker like this.

Loni Reeder ... I personally have a 'lunch butt' I'd like to forget - pahahaha! (my pathetic afternoon joke for the day...)
Jeff Fancher Um, you say Mississippi "forgot" to ratify banning slavery? I don't think they forgot. lol
Jona Denz-Hamilton to Jeff Fancher: All other States ratified it by 1865, Mississippi did the paperwork in 1995--then forgot to send it in!
Dan Kind Mississippi did not forget anything. They knew what they were doing. Pathetic.
Jeff Fancher So what you're saying is they didn't put a big priority on banning slavery. Hmm What a shock! lol
Jeff Fancher It's a good thing it only take 3/4 of the states to ratify an amendment.
Janie Freeman I keep coming into a room to get or do something. I stop and scratch my head and can't remember what. Then, about 10 minutes later I remember 'Oh, that was it'. It usually happens with very famous names, everybody remembers. People like Tina Turner. I just go blank. I hope it's not a prophecy of the future!
